Rachel Payne
Biography
Rachel Payne has been acting and singing professionally since the age of seven. Growing up moving between California, Utah, Scotland and Holland, she early on developed a taste for traveling and a love for variety and vitality in life.
While living in Utah, Rachel was cast in a few network productions, which earned her her SAG card. At age sixteen, she graduated early from High School and set off to audition for conservatories.
After completing her Undergraduate degree as a classical singer from New York’s Manhattan School of Music, Rachel spent a summer teaching inner city kids how to sing opera, following which she moved to Los Angeles to train and perform in film, television and theatre. She missed the sunshine of her native California and figured – after a bite of the big apple, why not go for a little citrus?
Since her arrival, Rachel has performed in TV, films, shorts, plays, voice over, musicals, operas, and Jewish High Holiday services, among other things. She has spent much of her time in LA training to further develop her acting, music and movement skills. Recently, she has turned to the production of her own projects, including an album, a musical, and a Television show. The doors keep opening up, and Rachel is excited to run through them all.
